My Journey

Margarita Frederick was born in 1986 in the small town of San Marcos, Guatemala. She is the seventh of ten children. At just nine years old, she had to leave home and start working to survive.

At twelve, she arrived in Guatemala City and worked cleaning houses. At fifteen, she started school for the first time and continued her studies while working. Thanks to her effort and perseverance, she finished high school at twenty-four.

At twenty-three, she opened her first beauty salon. However, due to extortion, she had to close her business and leave the country.

Today, Margarita is a professional stylist and balloon artist, a mother of two beautiful children, and lives in the United States. She is pursuing her dream of becoming a successful businesswoman and shares her moving life story in her first book, titled "Overcoming a Thousand Battles."

Her story is an inspiring journey of courage, struggle, and perseverance.
